 Post subject: Best way to launch a new website? |

We put up the content, we gave it a sitemap (which Google knows about
but hasn't indexed yet) we linked to it from a few of the other
domains we have... what else should we do to get some traffic rolling
in? |

Tell people. Real people. What avenues other than the internet do you
have to get the word out? Word of mouth will do more for you than
sitting at home waiting for people to Google you.
Do you have compelling content that other people want to link to? Do you
have compelling content that people will write about in their
blogs/newsletters/magazine articles/newspaper articles/emails to friends?
Get involved in an on-line community or two that discuss the same
subject that your site is about. But be aware that if you mention your
site when it is not a real answer to a real question, it will be viewed
as spam. A link to your site in a short sig line is usually considered OK.
Add new content from time to time. Give people a reason to come back to
your site. |

Just work at it and build some likes up.....market, Google adsense and
so on...

I put it up for myself to post my clients and my web sites on it
trying to get more traffic direct our way.
looks like the whole world is finding it...the bandwidth it is using
is becoming HUGE....geeez had no idea
now it is another web site I have to keep on top of it, but at least
it is working
